Zoosk? #Fail

Why are we here? Lol
Many reasons but definitely not to criticize online dating. :) <--- This is a disclaimer btw haha

Anyone who said online dating is for losers may have been right and because this is MY opinion and my blog, I am going to tell you why I agree or disagree. I said I was going to find more affordable ways to meet people online solely for the purpose of this dating experiment right? well apparently there are a couple of free online dating sites out there, case in point Zoosk.com which I signed up for. I have to tell you that I am still cracking up when I think about what has happened in the 24 hours that I have been registered on this website. I have gotten 5 messages, 9 winks, 3 numbers and so far I have bee matched with 2 people. I mean I gave basic information that isn't even enough to form the most basic idea about the kind of person I might be but here I am being asked to hang out and call. Anyways so the first boy I was matched with is 17, yes 17 asin underage boy who still wears large white tees (visible from his current picture) and is clearly still fascinated with air force ones or whatever kids of nowadays are wearing. I went back to check the age I provided and I thought, nahhhh it must be a mistake.

Second person is 25 with the following credentials.

Sign: Aries (Who cares as long as you can follow my lead lol )
Height: 6'3 (hmmm impressive)
Interested In: Women (Thank Goodness, if not why is he being matched with me)
Previous Marriage: Tell you later (O_o)
Children: Yes, they are at home with me. (double O_O, I'm sorry they? flags up)
Ethinicity: Black/African (Interesting)
Education: Some College (this option is so broad, its hard to make any type of judgement)
Religion: Christian (Definitely a plus)
Smoking and Drinking: Yes, Socially (Ok)
Ideal Date : Downtown at a nice club dancing and having fun (X_X)

I read his profile over 3 times trying to see what it was about him that might have significantly matched my profile that they thought to match him with me and the only thing we have in common is the fact that we both are black/African. Its ridiculous, I clearly stated that I don't have children and I have never been married and my ideal date would be dinner but yet I am matched with a man whose Ideal date is for me to be bumping and grinding on him at the club. It made no sense at all but it got me thinking about numerous men and women who took these sites serious. Can you just imagine if I was actually looking for my Mr right on this website. I mean Zoosk is not one of the top dating sites but its on top ten list and they have failed woefully in my books.

Sigh, now that this online method is clearly not going as planned, I am taking my time to finish the book and hopefully develop a plan to continue this experiment. If dates or memorable stories happen before then I might blog about them.. until then we shall blog randomness.
